4 Steps to a Vehicle wrap:
There are just 4 easy steps from start to finish
to getting your vehicle wrapped.
1- Designing- Artwork is one of the key components
that make up an effective wrap. We use high-resolution
photographs and graphics to ensure we produce a
clean and vibrant final product. If you already
have artwork and it meets the necessary requirements,
we can go straight to the next step. If not, we
have a team of skilled graphic designers that can
take your idea and make it into a reality.
2-Proofing- Once the design is set up, we will
give you a full color print out showing you exactly
how the wrap will look on your vehicle. You will
need to carefully look over the proof and check
for any changes you'd like to make before we go
into the printing step. The next step of the process
cannot begin until you have approved the proof.
3-Production- We begin this step by printing
on 3M premium vinyl and using true solvent based
inks on a high resolution, wide format printer.
We then laminate it to get that glossy finish and
extra protection from UV rays and abrasion. With
all three matched components, vinyl, inks and laminate
we are able to ensure you with a 3M Performance
Guarantee against peeling, cracking and fading.
You are also backed by the only 3M certified installation
team in Southeast Virginia.
4-Installation- DeSigns is the only 3M certified
installers in Southeast Virginia. We strictly follow
the stringent guidelines set by 3M, who is the leading
manufacturer in vehicle wrap materials. Our proper
preparation of the vehicle includes several cleaning
steps to provide a perfect surface for application.
When covering complex curves and contours, we use
special techniques, including heating and stretching
the film. All the right steps are followed to ensure
you get a long lasting and professional product.
The vinyl that is applied to the windows of the
vehicle, carries a warranty not to fade, crack or
peel for up to a year. Since window perf still allows
you to be able to see out of the windows, but still
convey your message clearly on the outside of the
glass. It has up to 50% of the adhesive and vinyl
punched out, this also makes the adhesion level
less. There is no set time line for window graphics,
in some cases it can last up to 5 years.
The vinyl that is applied to painted areas of the
vehicle is a Premium Cast 8 year film. Which we
Guarantee for the first 3 years.
The life of a wrap is affected by location of vehicle,
weather conditions and overall care of the vehicle
